Stainless steel casting
Over the past 50 years, Fenix Industries has specialised in the casting of high-grade alloys; one-off pieces or small series. We cast high-grade stainless steels, such as Duplex, Super Duplex and Chrome Nickel alloys. Fenix Industries is happy to work with you in developing a stainless steel casting, so that we can substantially improve the manufacturability of the product, minimise the risk of defects, and reduce costs. Please feel free to contact us.
Stainless steel types
Stainless steel alloys, composed of iron, chromium and nickel, are known for their outstanding corrosion resistance and great strength. When casting stainless steel, for instance, we use Duplex, which boasts a combination of properties that make it especially suitable for applications in demanding environments. Consequently, you will also find this material a lot in industries and sectors involving chemicals, e.g., in valves, sprockets and casings.
For stainless steel casting, we use such stainless steel types as listed below:
- Hastelloy
- Duplex
- Super Duplex
- Inconel
- Monel
Complex stainless steel castings
For stainless steel casting of more complex shapes, we use 3D-printed sand moulds. Sand moulds and sand cores can be printed directly from a 3D CAD model/drawing using a dedicated 3D printer. This saves a lot of time, as there is no longer any need to fabricate a traditional model. You stand to benefit from a faster production process and shorter delivery time this way.
